Hello,

Recently we reinstalled MySQL on our server. And now I get following error message when I try to view webpages which are related to d/b.:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mysql_pconnect() in /var/www/html/placements/spe******ationFunctions.php on line 6

Also when I try to connect Mysql d/b from shell I get following error:

Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111)

Any idea..how to solve it??
