Hello,all. I am new here at Php-editors. I hope I can be a help to all the users here. Anyway, I have successfully installed Apache Web Server (version 1.4) and PHP(the newest one) on my webserver, and I really want to make a create account/login system on my website.

I have tried many times to install Mysql, but after I configure it, when it tries to connect it says error 0 Mysql could not connect.

I do not understand. Do I need to forward ports (I have a router). Do I need to do anything in McAfee Virusscan/firewall/privacy service? If there is anybody that can help me, That would be great.

Please don't kill me if this is an obvious problem. I really am a noob to this kind of stuff.
