HELP!! I'm a n00b so I need help with this. I am trying to host a web site on my own server. It's just a regular computer which I don't need anymore so I will be using it to host my files and sites.

AMD Athlon XP 2600+
512MB DDR PC2700
250GB HDD
So I was following this tutorial here: http://www.pcmech.com/byos/

I think I got most of it right. Whenever I type in my computer's IP address in the address bar, my website shows up fine, and just the way I want it to. But when someone ELSE (my friend) on another computer tries to go there, nothing shows up. I really need help with this. Thanks.

What is the IP address and how are you connected to the internet?

No, I have never used IIS or Windows of any kind as a web server. Get a real OS!
