Default no POST with Apache

Apache version 1.3.41 (Unix)
PHP version 4.4.8

I've had a webpage going for some time, with a fair amount of user access, a serious error occured that caused some down time, now the PHP page doesn't read any post information, so all my forms do not work. I would really NOT like to reprogram the whole page again with $_GET

the page is World of Destruction if this helps
(sorry for the flash with sound)
