OK, just realised the title makes it sound like an editor for java, but no, this is just an editor written in java, with syntax-highlighting a-la Textpad
I moved to Linux recently and wanted to find a good substitute for Textpad, which I've been using for years happily. Took ages!
Finally, one of the Java guys here at work pointed me to
JEdit which has more features than Textpad, loads of plugins, and of course works cross-platform. Must admit, I've started using it in Windows as well as in Linux.
Thought you guys might want to try it out.
