 Generating reports using PDFLib

Greetings all:

I am attempting to create an inventory report in pdf form using PDFLib. Using pdf_show_boxed and pdf_rect, I am able to generate a formatted report reading the data from an array.

However, because the pdf_* commands require page coordinates to display, I used a counter to move the coordiates down the page. Then, of course, I run out of page area to show all of the files. Because of the counter or the strict page definition, the script generates only one page with about 15 files.(this report should be 10 pages long)

The question: What is the best approach to outputting a formatted report? I'm open for suggestions to try. Or directions to examples that might help.

Note:I have used the fpdf class and I liked the header and footer options. PDFLib doesn't seem to have those options. Only the template function appears to be of marginally use.

Your advice will be appreciated.

David
