 jEdit I've used jEdit for quite a time, almost two years now. With previous experience with UltraEdit and EditPlus (both also great) I find jEdit excellent. Platform independent and pluginable, for all of it's advantages.
But it's advantage is also it's big disadvantage - Java. It's hell slow on Windows sometimes...
