Looking for Dreamweaver replacement, but only addicted to certain features.
"Hello, my name is Jeff and I'm addicted to Dreamweaver"...LOL
I'm looking to replace my addiction to Dreamweaver, as I feel there must be a better choice for my style of PHP (LAMP) based development work. Like so many others, I started using Dreamweaver because that's what I was told to use at work. Now, I'm wanting to change this, especially at home.
Operating System: Windows XP
Features (I'm addicted to) requirements: Built-in FTP client - A Must! Code Support for CSS, HTML, PHP, Javascript Code Coloring Realtime Syntax Checking Advanced Search and Replace (Dreamweaver-Like): File, Open Files, Directory Files
Additional wish list items: PHPDoc Support Code Debugging
Things NOT needed: WYSIWYG editor Image editiing
Any suggestions? Thank you, Jeff

Well, since you are looking forward for a dreamweaver replacement, I would have PHPEdit would be your best bet. It features syntax highlighting, PHP, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and a powerful search and replace function along with FTP. Furthermore, most of your compulsory needs are met by it.I am looking for a free designing tool.Is there a free logo designing tool other than logo garden ?

Your best bet would be to go for PHPedit as far as I can see here. It would particulary assist you in many aspects as you are replacing dreamweaver. Furthermore, it comes with other goodies such as HTML5, JavaSCript, an excellent search and replace function (FTP) and PHP obviously.
