Hi
I want to add a new column to a table
using the following scriptie

$result="ALTER TABLE products ADD COLUMN name text";

if (mysql_query($result)){
echo 'new column is created';
} else {
echo 'new column is not created';
}

always result wrong, it may be a thinny
mistake i'm making but can't resolve it
please react if you know the sol.

try using backticks ` around column names.

I've tried back tickts 'name' but i still
doesn't create a new column

still need another idea somehow,

but thanks anyway

Problem solved, adding a column can only
run once,the second time i've naturally
got a error :-),

stupid me.....

script should check first if the column
doesn't exist,okay thats it
