Default phpmyadmin Restore db/I guess?

Forgive me for I know not what I do...

OK, here is the deal. My host had me on a server that was maxed out. My phpBB kept getting a (can not connect to db error). I had them move me to a new server. Now I need to upload all my backed up files. I have a backup of the phpBB db (huntingc.tar.gz) on my mac and need to get it on the server using phpmyadmin. How in the world do I do this??? Please be advised, I may be stupid when it comes to this stuff......
