because I am one of the charter members around here, have been a moderator for years and years, am published on these subjects, speak at conferences, and I do help, if there is a specific question and enough information to answer it.

I am not here to do people's work for them. For example:

"How do you right a forum?" (real question from a different thread)

I wont answer that question. No one on here will since it is ridiculously complex and really out of the scope of this type of venue.

On the other hand,

I am trying to use a left join and am noticing very very slow results. I think they are indexed correctly, here is the explain plan: <snip>

I will answer and go to great lengths to help those people.

Besides, "never" is quite definitive, and therefore inaccurate. If you have a question, I will be happy to help. Otherwise, feel free to donate to the website before you decide to comment on the perceived quality of free help.

Besides...what was wrong with my response here? It is a valid question considering the huge number of things that could be going on. A question, i might add, that was never answered.
