i have the following code to print a table form a database in MySQL from a button

print "<tr><td><a href=\"$row[name].mp3\">$row[preview]</a></td><td><a href=\"$row[artist].php\">$row[artist]</a></td><td>$row[name]</td><td>$row[current_pos]</td></tr>";

can someone PLEASE tell me how to print the name of the fields above their repective fields

Seems like the quickest solution would be, just before outputting each row, use another print to send out a row of just headings, like so:

print "<tr><td>Preview MP3</td><td>Artist</td><td>Name</td><td>Current Position</td></tr>";

Does that help?

I concur. Since you are hard coding the references, no need to mess with getting the field names dynamically.
