Default Help?

Hello,

First off I would like to say that it was near to impossible to register with the IE browser, unless your a fan of the "Tab" key you couldn't register at all! Might want to take a look at that!

Anyways I have a few problems that seem to be very frustrating to me! First off I must say I am new to the php world, but I'm trying to learn. Second I do have a site running off of another host, along with php/mysql/phpmyadmin stuff!! Now what I will regularly do is try to view the sites and download what is required (phpMyAdmin-2.11.1-rc1-english and php-5.2.4-Win32) and read any information regarding them. As I open my phpMyadmin file I read the Documentation.html that comes with it. As I complete each task I get to "Next, open scripts/setup.php in your browser." Now every time I do that, It makes it out to be a Download? I have no Idea what I'm doing wrong and I seem to be the only one that can't grasp the concept yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

-Alex

You do not have PHP installed in your webserver, so it doesnt know how to parse then render the page, instead it treats it just like a file, hence the download.

Ok then,

I was under the assumption that the phpMyAdmin documentation.html would have shown me the way to install php, but now that I look over the php install.txt I guess my assumption was backwards! Thanks!
