Default problem with versions and importing mysql

How to resolve problem with exporting and importing bases with different mysql versions. I am using 4.0.27 .... I want to import on 4.1 but it appears
error imprting. Can anyone help me?

This is FAR too general. What is the error? There are only a few hundred it could be, and I have no desire to answer them all.

use mysql front or phpmy admin ,that will work or else stop the mysql service and copy the data folder
