Hey Everyone,

Running:
Windows XP IIS 5.0
MySQL 5.0 or 5.1 not too sure
PHP 4.3.8
TRYING to get phpMyAdmin to work

Ok, so this is the sutuation. I have everything installed... PHP 4.3.8 or whatever version so that the mysql_php.dll and all of that are enabled on default. So now i have MySQL Installed and PHP like i was saying and I put phpMyAdmin into my web servers main directory like it says and I go to the .../phpmyadmin/index.php to install phpMyAdmin and it gives me this error:

"phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in config.inc.php and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server.

Error

MySQL said:

#1130 - #HY000Host '24.5.220.63' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server"

So I tried going to the documentation and it just has a list of errors... not sure how that is supposed to help. but can someone please tell me how I can allow myself to connect to MySQL Server. Please E-mail me back to give me help.

Thank You,
Jason Barnett

If your user table in the mysql database, check the host for whatever user you attempting to connect with. % is wildcard.

If it is set correctly, check the host table and make sure localhost or % is in there also.
