PHP 5.2 PEAR Problem

We upgraded our server from Lunix Suse 9.3 to Suse 10, along with this we upgraed our PHP from version 4.7 to 5.2.4.

After the upgrade we started to experience a problem where all variables in our php code, that pulled data from our database, didn't work anymore.

Anyone have any idea what the problem could be?
