Hi Everyone,

I really love this website and have found it useful thus far, and I would like to see it get better and better.

I believe the reviewed editors section should distinguish between PHP IDE's and PHP Text/Code Editors, and should also be sortable by user rating. I would also recommend some sort of comparison checklist so you can easily see which editors have which features.

I didn't see a forum for site suggestions, so forgive me if this is not the right forum to post in.

What do you all think?

Hi pmeth,

Many thanks for your comments, I agree with your suggestions.

When I first launched the site it has a feature list which was built with the hope of adding a comparison chart. However due to the problem of tracking new features in all editors and the different terms software companies use to describe them, I decided to leave it for now. But it is something I have thought about many times, and I hope to introduce it soon. I think the best way to compare features is to nominate the most requested/important features (for example - debugger, ftp access, csv, database connectivity etc..) and leave off the basics (script highlighting, file browser etc..).

Regarding splitting the IDE's and Editors - well I guess that is also a good idea and should be fairly easy to introduce.

BTW, I have several other ideas I hope to implement very soon, features that will make the site more interesting...

Thanks again, I think perhaps a forum topic for this kind of thing would be great.

Cheers,
Stuart
