I personally use the program called notepad++.

There are tons of features and it is really handy! :P

I love Notepad++ I just wish the lite version didn't make as much entries in the registry and is it does. Major down fall.

All in all though this editor has it all for free and is OpenSource seen on Sourceforge. Check it out!
