A sports technology startup based in The Woodlands, Texas is looking for hard working, highly skilled PHP/MYSQL developers who are ready to join a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment. We are a small, growing startup looking for people who want to take ownership of their work and get involved on the ground floor.
Programming skills/experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
- Knowledge and experience with HTML/DHTML/CSS and web standards
- High level of skill and experience with PHP 5
- Comfortable with both object oriented and procedural programming methodologies
- Expertise creating, configuring, and optimizing MySQL databases and queries with a solid understanding of database design
- Experience with JavaScript, DOM, AJAX, and common JavaScript libraries (YUI, Dojo, Prototype, etc)
- Exceptional debugging skills and the ability to easily and quickly read and modify existing code
Personal skills/requirements:
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills
- Strong UI design experience
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Versatile and committed work ethic
- Work well under pressure and able to meet aggressive deadlines.
- Thrive in fast-paced environments
- The ability to translate business requirements into system design
Other highly desirable skills/experience:
- Experience on LAMP platform
- Familiarity with MVC Frameworks (Cakephp, Zend, etc.)
- Subversion
- E-commerce
- Mac OSX
- Graphic design experience
