question in b3:

you say i can use letters form various scanbled words, so in the example:

Quote:
Sample Input
string constant variable sausages,
tstnacon bleiangrav irgtni krsiypappsle.
class function objects hypertext preprocessor,
sslas nyyoitcf teztxrpyhre krtbhwopqowo jksksjajajahshshj.

Sample Output
constant variable string
hypertext class
36

i could add objects: (see green letters
sslas nyyoitcf teztxrpyhre krtbhwopqowo jksksjajajahshshj.

I am getting this right?...

i can use the blanks in all the words i want?? (as long as they remain the same letters?.
You can use letters from seperate jumbled words to build a word.

Letters can only be used once per list/sentence.

Only 2 blanks can be used per list/sentence, and they must be different letters - you cannot use the same letters twices as a blank.

So the answer to your first question is yes.
Your second question - blanks can only be used once per list/sentence.

Hope this helps

I give up on this one. I don't even know what the heck a traceroute is. I can see numbers and some cryptic codes, but nothing makes sense.

I'll try to research on these infos, but I don't know if I'll understand it.
The rules state that you can include things like traceroute....(its only a suggestion) so that said, its not mandatory. You decide what you info to provide about a given URL.

You may wish to give advanced multiple search engine rankings for a given URL only. or you may wish to provide something completely different like a traceroute, or a mixture of both.

A good example of network tools can be found here: http://www.demoninternet.net/external

I guess you can, as I say its upto you what you do. As long as you script it with your own PHP code, then external db connections are fine

Hi,

If you add 'objects' you can't get 'class', because there is only one 'c', right?

And a question, the white spaces are letters or not?

Thanks

Still a bit bewildered about the example shown for 3b

Why is OK for the 'c' of class to come from another word in the sentence yet 'string' has to use a blank (red r) even though there is an 'r' available in the 'irgtni' word and a perfectly good 's' in the next word 'krsiypappsle'?

Please clarify.

your correct these letters can be taken from the jumbled words you stated. my example was just to demonstrate that blanks can be used at any time. But i can see that the example given could cause confusion, and there was no real good reason to used the blanks.
I will updated the rules to reflect this (give a better example).
thanks and sorry to cause confusion

Stuart

I have no idea about this search engine ranking...and how to go about it? Can someone help me out in explaining more regarding this. Should be ranking only from one search engine or more...? :(

The idea behind this type of contest is for the contestant to com-up with their own ideas.... the search engine ranking is a suggestion, and is not a requirement. If you were to add a a ranking, you could supply the current ranking on google only or a mixture of many engines.
But remember its only a suggestion, you may have better ways of providing interesting information on the current state of a given URL
