Congrats to all the winners... !!!

Too bad my sorting function failed... otherwise I should have won the B3 contest...
I tried to run the input with sorting function already fixed and i got 117...

I just had 3 hours to make my script so I didnt had the chance to test it thoroughly... I just tried the sample input and when I finally got the desired output, I sent it immediately hoping to meet the deadline...

It was fun, though a bit disappointing for me...
Next time I'll try to make it better... B)

I can't find your entry.. what is your real name?
Oops, forgot to mention it...

My real name is Matteo and the script is under that name.

I also could win by cheating

Plz, check the last result and you'll find that it's wrong... not enough letters remaining. The same happens with "preprocessor objects class"...

....But now it's my time for some complaints... how did you run the contest?......
.... Did you run it with a really low time_limit? I ask, because it really seems it switched to retreat mode at the beginning...
I have a new PC now (the system I tested all the scripts on is now in a big skip somewhere), On my new system P4/2GHz on XP, it does return 110.... Your right... it must have picked-up the time limit on my last system incorrectly. My default execution time in the php.ini file was 60 secs, I did not change this setting on your script.

Its seems your script was just to clever... I feel bad for you, but I cannot change the results as all the scripts were tested on the same system with exactly the same configuration. Sorry about that

If you like I can put a note on your entry:
[ returns 110 on faster systems ] or similar, and link it to this thread. What do you suggest?

maybe next time...

No Problem, I think an entry as you suggested would be fair enough
