base 64 encrypt solutions.. ideas please

I have some software that I built for a company.... for free for them to use and I was not paid. They wanted to copyright my code, sell it, and not pay me... so I beat them to it and copyrighted it myself. Now I want make the source unreadable by using base64 or encrypt or something of this nature so other developrs can change mine and call it their own.... I saw codelock v2 but that's $60... anything I can do other than rewrite it in VB and convert it to aspx?

Anyone ever run into thisor have a solution for me?

You always owned the copyright if you wrote it and did not have a bill of sale. The moment a work is created, you owned the copyright.

Also, let this be a lesson for everyone, always have a contract about terms of use and acceptance conditions.

$60 seems very cheap so probably that is the best option. I know it is possible to do an auto pre-pend stuff, but im not sure how that works since they would just have access to that code also.

I would just buy the $60 solution, i pay more than that a month just for my hosting.
