Hi All,

I keep being told that the MySQL software is completely free, but when I go onto their website it says I gotta pay for it. Can you download it anywhere for free, or is there some second-party software that does the same thing as MySQL for free. Thanks

You can download it for free from mysql.com. Don't be confused by the big bold words that say you have to pay if you want ... You only have to pay for it if you want MySQL to support it or to help you at all. If you can do it on your own it is free.
