Default need help w/ a script, dont know where to start

Hi, i want to write a script that will search only my site, and then display specific results from the pages.

For example, someone searches Michael Jordan
The script then looks and finds that his name is on these files:
Code:
http://sim.hardwood-heroes.com/CHIBulls_Roster.html
http://sim.hardwood-heroes.com/CHIBulls_Ratings.html
http://sim.hardwood-heroes.com/CHIBulls_Stats.html
http://sim.hardwood-heroes.com/CHIBulls_Depth.html
http://sim.hardwood-heroes.com/290.html
It then takes certain info from those pages and displays it. Like his current team, his current stats, his current ratings, etc.

Ive tried finding a tutorial for this but idk where to start, any help?

You really want a database on this kind of thing. Searching against static pages then aggregating the data is far harder than it should be compared to just using a database.

Google for PHP Database Tutorial for several good examples. If you get stuck, post your questions and hopefully we can get it working for you.
