Comments: I was using Zend, so I went to PHP Design for only one day. Now I found this. The best PHP IDE. It is fast, stable and with all features of Zend (except Cold Folding). But it supports PhpDoc too!

- Code Tip (PHP Designer does not support)
- Code Completation
- Full debug
- DB Connection and Management client (PHP Designer does not)
Etc..

I used Zend Studio before, but it's full of bugs and unstable.
Using PhpED for 5 months it's super.

Comments: I also want to respond that I've been very happy with PHPEd and the technical support. I tried most PHP IDE's over the past 3 years and kept going back to my editor. After buying PHPEd and having a few user help questions answered, I have not looked back and it's been 4 months+ now. Very pleased.

Comments: I have Debian installed on my P3 933MHz machine, and Linux version of PHPED happen to run pretty smoothly for me. Comparing to old 3.2 release and to early 3.3 betas, it seems to be improving somewhat, and it's pretty close to windows version in terms of stability. But it's slower, yes, but I have experienced this only on my old trustworthy PII. But thanks to PHPED I was able to gather a decent amount of money and I will upgrade to Athlon64 soon!

Comments: I am in search of an application like Dreamweaver MX where I can compile the whole php code with Mysql without knowing a little bit of it. In Dreamweaver you have the facility of creating recordset, deleting, viewing, updating, paging and whole bunch of dynamic functions you can think of. Is this product or Zend Studio capable of doing any sort of things like that? If yes, then I will probably buy or try out first. I don't know php (but I know Mysql) but would like to make dynamic pages in php. Please suggest.

Comments: It would be 5 stars if the search & replace would be multi-lined, and if you could control a few more options like cursor beyond EOF. But this program is GREAT. It does python, javascript, html, etc as well.

Comments: Rock stable, best debugger I've ssen (although I've not tried out Zend Studio yet) and very professional. The price is high, but if you work with PHP every day, it's worth the money (in my very own opinion). 5 stars if you earn you money with PHP (would be 2 stars if you don't because auf the high price).

Comments: The best PHP debugger I have found. I love it. I debug all my php files here: you can just hover over variables to get the values as they are debugging. The debug output is great, it will construct an output file and display it as it would look as html. Very easy to use. There are little niggly things I dislike about the editor when constructing the php pages that makes me do most of my construction in a different IDE. I don't like how it automatically gives you 2 quotes or a set of braces when you start coding because when you don't require them both, you are endlessly deleting the closing brace or quote.

Jesreed is on a distinguished road
Default

They have limited trial to 14 days. I had a bad feeling about that. But still, I wanted to see, if there's anything better than Zend Studio nowadays.
Well, I must admit, PhpED is brings out more. And by more I actually mean MORE. It's so much faster, and the debugger works right out of the box.

Evaluation result: purchased the full version on the 6th day of eval.
Excellent work, really.

Default best PHP IDE I come across so far

I've just recently switched from Zend.

This can do the job better, faster, and has twice as more settings to tweak it to your liking. More options. More features. It can color code nearly everything you have to work with - even smarty templates (great feature!).
I've yet to find any bugs.

Try it if you haven't already.
