Bluefish is a powerful editor for experienced web designers and programmers. Bluefish supports many programming and markup languages, but it focuses on editing dynamic and interactive websites.

Bluefish runs on most (all?) POSIX compatible operating systems including Linux, FreeBSD, MacOS-X, OpenBSD, Solaris and Tru64.

I recently installed Ubuntu for the the first time, and I am looking for a decent editor to use on it. I'd read good things about Bluefish, and by the looks of the features it looked great. I was a bit surprised how much they went on about its stability on their web site, then when I installed it it crashed within about 5 minutes, while I was just playing with it. That really turned me off it. If it's going to crash that easy, what's is going to do when it really get a work out?
