Ive used SEG editor for the past couple of years and I find it has everything I need. However more options for selecting colour and font for comments would be nice but thats really not a huge problem. It has all of the neccessary function built in for search and replace. It does a good job of highlighting the code (php / html / javascript but it supports many others) where other editors may like to go overboard on decorating text this is nice and simple print. I never like auto-complete on my editors and this has the option to enable or disable which is also very well thought of. It has other functions which I really dont use but Im sure there will be others out there who will benefit. The files are opened as tabs at the top which are re-orderable if needed. Fast switching between files is another common but nice feature. Above all its fast!!! Ive downloaded a few editors over the years and some are so slow to catch up with your typing :eek:.

I am having to use a different editor until SEG supports a feature which is currently not available :(. I am setting up friendly-urls which means I will be losing the .php extension on my scripts. With this missing and SEG unable to provide any option for no extension association (extensions are supported just not a file without one) but GoniX (the creator of SEG Editor) is aware of the the problem and Im sure that he will take it into consideration in the next release :rolleyes:. I will be heading back to SEG as soon as! I would recommend this editor highly!!!
