HI
I am new to php, so i am wondering if anyone can recommend any good boks to learn php from scratch.
From absolutly basic to advance learning.

I am also interested in implementing php in flash, so if anyone have any recommendations for me, books, articles etc, i would be very grateful!

Thank u, kathrinely

Hi Kimberly.

I've purchased, PHP4 Bible and PHP5 Bible. They are big books, they
offer a lot -- but it's not great for beginner to intermediate. I finally got
lost and frustrated in the middle of it and decided to buy a new book.

The one Im reading now is called "Spring Into PHP5: Steve Holzner."
This book is very practical with many examples and its broken up very
nicely. Im not very good at PHP, Ive been reading it for a few days and
Im catching on pretty quick.

I would also suggest checking out the SitePoint "Building a Database
Driven Site: PHP/MySQL." I was torn between which one to purchase they
both looked very good. But I chose this one after skimming through it,
I would recommend Spring Into PHP5.

It teaches you all the basics and easiest functions to build you up to
an intermediate level, near the middle of the book you start applying what
you've learned into web pages.
