Cant get into a chatroom

Hi all.
One of the message boards I am a member of has just added php chat to their site.I have registered and all that good stuff.When I go to enter chat I get a action canceled screen and it gos back to the login in screen.Then when I check users it shows me in chat but the room never shows on my screen.Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to change settings on my comp? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
