very good

extremely simple but thats whats needed to help people grasp the concept.

other tutorials all seems to use some far out confusing examples that simply arent neccesarry to portray the methods / object fundamentals. on top of that, they ramble on about other stuff for half a page, then proceed to tell you that you didnt need to know what they just rambled about, when they should have just laid off the coffee and kept more distance from the keyboard and then thier tutorial would have been ok.

Good job

Hey, thank you. I was really afraid that I had made it too simple, or failed to cover some of the basics properly. I'm planning on submitting another article on Advanced Classes, to cover the more advanced techniques to it, like serializing, and the __sleep and __wakeup functions, etc. So I figured all the extra stuff could go in there, and the basic tutorial could just be to help give people an idea of how to use a simple class.

Yes, your tutorial was very helpful. After trying other tutorials on classes, for some reason I finally got it after reading this example - probably because it was simple.

Thanks for help!

Working on upgrading my server currently. So naturally, I managed to cripple all of my websites. Linux and I dont mix well.

By the way, has anybody heard from stuart much lately? I'm working on the next article, but I still haven't recieved the actual reward from the last one. I haven't seen any posts from him in a while. He just sort of vanished, been busy with things?

Ooooo Shiny. Its all good, thanks man. I understand what you mean to, seems like everyone has a lot of things going on these days.

I'll try to get another article or two on the way once I get my server repaired so I can test the scripts. While i'm at it, does anyone have anything they want information on in particular? My next article is on Advanced Classes, but other than that i'm not sure what else to write.

I might write a tutorial on FTP Support in PHP, i'm not sure what else though. I'm open to ideas - if anyone has any suggestions, pass 'em along to brian@h4ventures.com

Cheers.

Good work with the tutorial. I look forward to your Advanced version - when can we expect it?

And after that are you going to be writing an Expert Version covering Design Patterns? ;o)

I haven't even touched on Design Patterns myself yet, but I could look into them and see if I can figure them out.

Well, the Advanced version is still going to be a while - I still haven't managed to get my server repaired, so all of my websites have been down for two weeks or so, and its the only server I have capable of running PHP. I won't release any articles without testing all of the code included, so if I can't get it back online soon, i'm signing up for a free PHP host. But once I get a place, i'll work hard on getting it finished.
