Post Apache User and Password
I have an installation of Apache 2.0 on a windows XP platform.

It is configured with PHP and Mysql as well as Perl which runs as both a command line and server side langauge.

I installed mod_ssl etc and it was all going well.

Until I tried a couple of days ago to access my server from a remote location. I usually just use my server as an IDE.

I keep getting asked for a username and password every time I try logging in using my IP. I didn't set one, don't see one anywhere and haven't got a clue what to do next. I need to be able to access my server from a remote location.

What can I do? Misery stalks my every waking moment since I uncovered this glaring and massive hole in my Apache expertise.

Please take pity on one of the fallen heroes of the battle for Sesame Street and impart your knowledge to me.

Many thanks

John
