[/align] The software development manager provides technical leadership for a mixed-level group of software developers. He or she is deeply technical with a track record of successful delivery as an individual contributor and as a leader. At least 50% of the software development manager’s time will be devoted to hands-on development. Responsibilities include: ·Design, develop, debug, and implement web applications ·Manage team of developers including developing, motivating, and retaining team members and setting goals. ·Estimate and manage development effort required for projects and adhere to established release schedules. ·Define and implement standards. Education and Experience: ·Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related field. ·Minimum of 6 years related experience including hands-on development and at least 2 years of experience in a management role for a web development or software development organization. Skills: ·Advanced software development skills. ·Must be self directed and proactive and think beyond the immediate problem. ·Excellent written and verbal communication skills. ·Ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously. ·Proven leadership ability and ability to delegate work to subordinate employees. ·Linux/UNIX/Windows experience ·Technical expertise in some or all of the following technical areas: oPHP, HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS oObject Oriented development applications and design framework oMySQL - both SQL query language and database structure/design oUNIX/Apache web hosting server environment oSoftware development and maintenance practices and methodologies email : rshurtz@toptenreviews.com
